Things clients usually ask
Under the Private Employment Agencies Act 1981, all recruitment agencies must hold a valid JTKSM license issued by the Ministry of Human Resources Malaysia. Agencies that operate without one are committing a criminal offence - punishable by up to RM10,000 fine or 2 years imprisonment.
For you as an employer: any placement fees paid to an unlicensed agency carry no legal protection. If placements fail or disputes arise, you have no recourse. Always verify before you engage.
