Mechanical Engineer

Job Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies and structures for drones, UAVs, electronics and related products.
• Create and maintain 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, BOMs and technical specifications.
• Support the development of drone frames, mechanical structures, mounting systems and related components.
• Select suitable materials, mechanical components and manufacturing processes based on product requirements.
• Support prototype development, testing, inspection and product validation.
• Identify and resolve mechanical design and production-related issues.
• Work closely with R&D, Production, Sourcing, Quality and suppliers to support product development and manufacturing.
• Coordinate with suppliers on mechanical parts, tooling, fabrication and production requirements.
• Improve product design, assembly processes, reliability and production efficiency.
• Prepare assembly instructions and other technical documentation.
• Provide hands-on technical support to the production team when required.
• Ensure designs meet quality, performance, safety and manufacturability requirements.
• Perform other engineering and technical duties as assigned by management.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical design, manufacturing or product development.
• Proficient in SolidWorks, AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
• Good knowledge of mechanical components, materials, fabrication and assembly processes.
• Experience with drones, UAVs, robotics or electronics products is an advantage.
• Able to read and understand engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a practical, hands-on approach.
• Good communication skills in English, Malay and Mandarin.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Willing to provide hands-on support to production and manufacturing activities when required.
